Annual School Walk-A-Thon Come out and show your support “Walk for Your School” The School You are Proud to Send Your Children to!

The air is getting cooler, the leaves and trees are getting ready to change, and St. Margaret School is getting ready for its annual WALK-A-THON! This was a great event last year, and we know it is going to be one of the biggest Fall events of this year too. We need the support of everyone. Are you ready? Mark your calendars!
Our school WALK-A-THON will take place on Friday, October 23rd right here on the school grounds of St. Margaret’s between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. We want to make it a fun school event. What better way to include the entire St. Margaret’s School community (parents, pastors, teachers, and siblings, etc.)! What better opportunity to build school spirit, to enjoy one another, and to raise money for our school all at the same time! We are hoping for 100% participation. We want to make this one of our biggest fundraisers! Our goal is to raise $10,000. Last year all proceeds went to our school technology program and the purchase of 4 new Smart Boards. This year the monies are designated for the purchase of Smart Boards for the remaining classrooms.
We welcome all parents, grandparents, parishioners, etc. to come, have fun and support our school on Friday, October 23rd. Students may wear their gym shorts or sweats to school the day of the Walk-A-Thon.
The schedule for the day will be as follows:
Walk-a-thon for Grades PK, 5-8 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (Dance-a-thon 5-8) 11:50 a.m. -12:30 p.m. Walk-a-thon for Grades K-4 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Dance-a-thon K-4 12:20 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Attached you will find a Sponsor Pledge Sheet for each of your children (each child will need this sheet the day of the Walk-a-thon). Extra Sponsor Pledge sheets are available online and in the school office. We are encouraging parents and teachers alike to walk for their school! Would anyone like to sponsor their teacher, principal or pastor?
Prizes 1. Each student will receive one NUT Award (No Uniform Today Award) for every $50 worth of PLEDGES received and collected on or before Monday, November 2nd.
2. If we reach our goal of $10,000 this year, as a school we will designate 5 FREE NUT Award Days for the whole school - that is, one week of free NUT Days for all!
3. Each class with 100% participation will receive an Ice Cream Party ($10 minimum per student/teacher)
It is sure to be a great day for all! Get your walking shoes ready. See you on October 23rd!
All checks are to be made payable to St. Margaret’s. Please send all checks and pledge money to school in an envelope marked with your child’s name , grade and “WALK-A-THON.” Thank you.
